Overview
The Media & Marketing team is responsible for all aspects of the club's outreach, including the website, newsletter, social media, sponsorships, and community events. The team is also actively involved in all outward-facing material in the club, including posters, advertisements, and fliers. Another major aspect of the marketing team is creating the IREC Video Challenge, which includes video and audio interviews, photo-taking, and video editing. Writing for articles and publications is also a team responsibility, as shown through the newsletter, website, and emails the club sends out.
Visual Content
The Media and Marketing team is responsible for all visual content produced by the club, including but not limited to social media posts, long-form content, website development, and newsletter production. They create, edit, and post short and long-form content across the club's social media platforms, as well as design informational posts. The subteam also maintains and updates the club's website with new information and makes edits as needed. The quarterly newsletter is also written, edited, and produced by the subteam and then sent to current members, alumni, sponsors, and the general public.
Outreach
The Media and Marketing subteam assists in the club's outreach efforts through university-hosted and community events. Outreach is an important aspect of our club, as it encourages university members to get more involved in what we do. The team helps recruit prospective members from student organization events. Another important aspect of our outreach is company sponsorships. The media and marketing team works with the finance team to communicate with current and prospective sponsors and ensure they are properly recognized and accommodated.
